As current scenario, we can't log historical alarm into SQL database natively.
Using alarm category we can log but is has it own limitation.
Native functionality like Alarm Upload of CitectHistorian can be real upgrade for CitectSCADA as industry 4.0 is more about the data store and sharing.

To achieve this basic functionality, integrator\developer have to make serious changes in CitectSCADA function which leading to a random behaviour of CitectSCADA system. Or integrator\developer needs to add another software as addon of CitectSCADA to achieve this functionality. Its concern for value of money\cost effectiveness. |

I agree, but you can do this with a simple SQL device for alarmlog and/or for sumalarm. I have been using it for long time (old versions had a problem with big tables, but now its solved). What is the limitation that you are talking about?
