Licensing model for Distributed System

Typical architecture include the components of a system to be distributed across a number of computers on a LAN or VirtualPC on a Virtual environment, creating a system that offers flexibility, performance and also compliance with cybersecurity requirements for I/O, Historian, client , integration layers separation benefits.

Also PlantSCADA's:

1) client-server architecture allows the components of a system to be distributed across a number of computers.

2) AVEVA Enterprise Licensing system is a common platform

Currently, allows run multiple PlantSCADA servers on different clusters, but ONLY on one computer using one license.

When splitting PlantSCADA servers between computers, each PlantSCADA server requires a FULL license for each computer, even if the PlantSCADA servers (I/O server, Alarms, Trend, Report ) is part of the single project.

IDEA to expand the ability to distribute PlantSCADA servers between computers included in one project under the control of ONE license.

Distributed Server architecture node licensing (Based upon the Server Type) is something that we can consider with AEL only exclusive licenses for perpetual use case, as the notion of FLEX is to reduce parts into a FLEXible and similar framework to that of our other products. Thank you for posting this to our Ideas portal and I have moved this onto our backlog for ideation consideration for enhancement.
